Yes, it does stink to high heaven when you first get it and yes it is wrapped up with a black trash bag. I got this for 70% off so I am not complaining. Its really soft only problem is that now that it is summer it retains too much heat.

After waking up every morning with sore backs, we realized our 7-year-old pillow-top mattress might need to be replaced. Since I've been dealing with back and coccyx pain, sleeping comfort is very important.
We looked at many mattresses and realized we would not be able to afford what we really wanted (for me, the most expensive mattress Tempur-Pedic makes), we decided to do some research on memory foam mattress toppers. I researched many on Amazon and after carefully reading the reviews, decided to purchase the Sleep Better 2-Inch Visco Elastic Memory Foam Mattress Topper, Queen.
After using it for five months, my wife and I both give it two thumbs up! The comfort and support it provides is amazing. Yes it is intentionally a bit smaller than the entire surface of your mattress so you can use the sheets you currently have and not have to purchase new one.
The big thing to address is the odor. When this is delivered and you open it, it will stink. In fact, the odor can be very strong. After letting it air out for two days, we considered returning it. Then an idea popped into my cranium and I sprayed both sides of it with Febreze. After another 36-48 hours, the odor was gone and has never returned.
This is a great product and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

If you toss and turn, this mattress is the answer to your problems. My sister-in-law had this on her guest room bed, and I slept without moving. What a wonderful thing. Purchased mine! And, now I hardly move when I used to wear out the bed--tossing and turning. It is truly a wonderful product!

I am very happy with the memory foam topper I purchased. Definitely a good value! The only thing I would like better is for it to be a little larger or equal to my bed size. It is short on top or bottom depending on how I put it on the bed. My husband and I finally have gotten some good nights sleep!

I used this to put over an old futon mattress and it is very comfortable. It does not get too hot and provides great support. Our guests much appreciate this addition to the futon, and we love that it was not as expensive as many other memory foam toppers.
